Last night at 12.50 I received a call from Darius. He is at IPM in Egypt. I could only hear a lot of people were screaming and clapping. I was so confused. I heard Gioni shouting “ Gabitza is PAI!! Well done AIESEC Romania!”. I couldn’t believe it. A Romanian is running a global organization as AIESEC.
There hasn’t been a female president of AIESEC International since 1998! And she had to be Romanian. AI elections are very tuff. They stretch your mind and believes to the maximum. You die and get born again, this is how intense it is.
Late in the night, around 2.50 AM I got another phone from Darius telling me that Gioni passed the confidence vote from the Global plenary. He was so amazed of everything it was happening around him. He is going to have the interview on the 25th of February.
Today emails, messages on the phone were poring down. Old alumni sharing their feelings. We are all proud to be Romanians. I guess that is quite rare these days, especially at our age.

Last weekend i was in Iasi, my hometown. It's crazy how many good memories and friends i have there. But i have my best friend in Egypt right now. Darius is running for AIESEC International. A dream that you hardly dare to dream could come true. Sometimes i am overwhelmed by how things turn out. We are quite a family now. I mean my MC team. Who had thought that. I am so lucky to have friends that no matter where they are, what they do, they are still there for a talk like in the old days.
Monday morning, big cup of tea, an inbox full with emails, a message on the telephone, listening to Killers, a big big smile on my face.
Is this part of us that we don't know. Is this part of us that makes us do strange things. We usually don't do them, we might not usually like them, but when it happens we have a stupid smile on our faces. Is that part of us that forgets the "I don't know how" incidents, and sometimes brings them up into your mind. "I don't know how"....it happened. "I don't know how"....I could dream that. "I don't know how"....I did that. Question questions in your head. So what to do this the land of "I don't know how"? Rule it or let yourself ruled by it?
Not recently i have been elected facilitator for APXLDS held in India. I have this strange feeling that is going to be something beyond of what i imagine. For a lot of us India is a place that we hardly imagine to get to see. I have friends from India, who went or live there. When they talk about India i have the feeling that i don't understand completely what they feel. It's like something special that only some of us understand. I never dream. It's quite rare when i actually remember a dream. But last night i dreamed that i was in India. I don't like to be fluffy when I tell you this, but i woke up with good liberating feeling.
