Moment

I am in the plenary at IC 2006 in Poland. Some people are dancing, some are just standing on the floor having chats with people fromdiferent continents, David, our chair, tryes to get everybody in the plenary, some people are playing with the coloured ball from the previous session. The romanian delegation is making pictures...we are all laughingand jumping. Andi and Bogdan from Germany joined us.
The AI rocll call starts...I AM SO EXCITED...AND I JUST CAN'T HIDE IT!!!
I lay on my back on the plenary floor looking at the ceiling and i think. I love it..I am so gratefull to be here.
Crash!
Hmm..it is really interesting what feelings i have right now. I guess many of you hear about how great and amazing is IC but you can’t really picture things in your head. Actually besides some professional goals i didn’t thought that much about the other things that could happen here.
Well it’s quite amazing to take breakfast, lunch and dinner with people from 90 countries. Yesterday i walked to breakfast with Paul from UK, had lunch with Deniss from Estonia and dinner with Shivo from Kenya. The world seems such a small place for me now.
I had a really nice conversation with this nice guy from Morocco. We talked about how the muslims people are being treated after the 9/11 events. You start to think a little bit more about what is right and wrong and how is the society we live in. And than i started to think about the topic we discussed the hole day in the sessions. What is Freedom?
For me freedom is happiness, but i see that other people describe it different.
Another thing that made me think about what are the stereotypes is the dialogue ‘ is AIESEC relevant in Middle East and North Africa countries?’ That was the top of the day. You hear a lot of Jordan, Lebanon and other countries from that area in papers but you never question if that is the truth. And last night I got to see some people who really have a dream and put a lot of passion in what they do. And I see how AIESEC can bring a change in that area, in terms of values, vision and paradigms. We were people from all over the world in that discussion who shared the same belief. It was amazing. I really changed some of the perception I had. And ended my night with the question od why people feel to crash in one another.
So..yesterday I talked with people on the things that I like from: Bangladesh, Qatar, Hungary, Rwanda, Korea, Spain, Bahrain, Holland, Austria, Nigeria, Morocco, Australia, Ireland, Japan and Taiwan. And I have nothing to say anymore..you draw the conclusions.
